Get basic access to features!
Get My Code is free to use and will stay free. The Starter plan is not a trial: it includes the full code editor with syntax highlighting for more than 120 languages, the rich-text editor, real-time collaboration with any number of participants, unlimited custom route names, and multi-device sync. It is the plan that powers every workspace on the site today.
The paid Pro plan exists for a smaller group of users who rely on the tool daily and want their content kept longer, locked behind passwords, and free of advertising. We would rather a small number of heavy users fund the service than compromise the free experience for everyone else.
Yes. The Starter plan is free to use with no time limit and no credit card. It is the plan every workspace runs on by default; you do not need to sign up to use it, although creating an account lets you see and manage the routes you have created.
On the Starter plan, a route's content is kept for 30 days after it was last edited. Every time you or a collaborator makes a change, the clock resets. Routes that go untouched for 30 days are cleared to keep the service fast and free for everyone. If you need something kept permanently, copy it into your own repository or notes.
The Pro plan is designed for people who use Get My Code every day: private, password-protected routes without limits, longer retention, an ad-free interface, and priority support. We are finalising pricing and will announce it on this page and in the blog before it launches. Nothing about the Starter plan will change when Pro arrives.
Yes. There is no restriction on commercial use on either plan. Many teams use the Starter plan for technical interviews, support calls, and workshops. Please review the Terms of Service and avoid pasting credentials or confidential customer data into any shared workspace.
Pro will be billed monthly with no contract. You will be able to cancel at any time from your profile, and the plan will stay active until the end of the period you have paid for. If something goes wrong with a payment, contact us and we will sort it out.
