Developer Games

Short, skill-based games for people who spend their day at a keyboard. No sign-up, no downloads, and nothing to install: open a game, play a round, and get back to work a little sharper than before.

Why we built a games section

Get My Code is a tool for sharing and editing code together in real time, and almost everyone who uses it types for a living. Typing speed and accuracy are quietly important skills for developers, writers, and students: a few extra words per minute, compounded over thousands of messages, commits, and documents a year, adds up to real hours saved. We wanted a place on the site where you can practise that skill, measure it honestly, and have a bit of fun doing it.

Every game here follows the same principles as the rest of the site: it loads instantly, it works on a phone as well as a laptop, it does not require an account, and your results stay in your own browser unless you choose to share them.

Quick rounds

Every game is designed to be played in under two minutes, so it fits into a coffee break or the gap before a meeting.

Track your progress

Personal bests are saved in your browser. Come back tomorrow and see whether you have improved.

Challenge a friend

Share your result with one tap and see who on the team is really the fastest typist.
